It’s so easy for our work spaces at home to fall victim to becoming a place where it is just about practicality and not about design. The kitchen for all us is a center point of the house and usually we forget to infuse little accent pieces every now and then. I fall into this category completely as my kitchen is used ONLY for cooking and eating. Compared to every other room in my house, I pay such little attention to it, even though we are hanging out it in quite often. It’s time to change that! Today I am sharing a quick video with some very easy and inexpensive tips to help you spruce up your kitchen!

Spruce Up Your Kitchen

Wooden Kitchen Boards
Display your favorite kitchen pieces like wooden chopping boards or beautiful serving spoons. I especially would love to display this wood board from Habitat (it’s on SALE too)! This marble board would also look stunning as well!
Chocolate
There is nothing more lovely than beautifully designed chocolate bars (especially for us design lovers). MAST chocolates are a favorite of mine, especially their new Sea Salt Collection (shown in the video) that they designed with Calico wallpapers. I also love this design and this is another favorite. Although these are a splurge (for chocolate) guests will always comment on them!
Fruits and Vegetables
Give your kitchen a pop of fresh color by displaying seasonal fruits and vegetables from the market. Use a beautiful statement bowl like this one!
Greenery
Add a green corner to your kitchen! It is such a great place to add fresh greens and you will most likely always remember to water them if they are in the kitchen! These concrete style plant pots from HAY design are my absolute favorite planters (they are on SALE too)! This retro planter is also so cute.
Kitchen Peonies
Adding fancy soaps and hand balm is such an easy way to add a little glamour without really breaking the bank. Aesop’s aromatique hand wash and lotion is still one of my very favorites!

  1. These are such lovely ideas, Gabby. Sometimes I see posts that say they are easy ways but are actually pretty involved. These are genuinely so simple but you can see that they’d make all the difference. Love it!
